Phonics And Reading

Using our special techniques which are an adaptation of the established methodologies to suit a Singapore Context. Our courses are designed for the young and tender incooperating play and game techniques of learning to capture their hearts and minds.

Our Primary School Phonics programme delivers into quick character identification building on the look and see method to enable students read at the earliest. Typically, students should grasp the basic rudiments of word recognition within 6 months.

This course comprises of four modules namely, Modules 1, 2, 3 and 4. Module 1 deals with sounds of consonants; Module 2 with short and long vowel sounds of letters 'a', 'e'. 'i', 'o', 'u' as well as the hard and soft sounds of the letters 'c' and 'g'; Module 3 covers blends and combination words and last but not least, Module 4 closes the chapter with rhyming words and reading skills.

Each module is broken up into 10 lessons, duration one and a half hours each lesson. To complete this course, you will require to attend all 40 lessons over an estimated period of 10 months.

Primary 1 Preparatory Course

General studies show that the minimum requirement of Primary 1 entrants are not met with, by a high proportion of students entering primary schools. To cater to this, we have developed this course with higher English and Mathematical skills, social studies and computer know-how to prepare Kindergarten 2 students to cope with the rigours of Primary 1 syllabus.

This course covers one module of 16 lessons, each lesson with a duration of 2 hours. The students will complete this course in 4 months, afterwhich, they should be well-equipped to enter into the Primary 1 tuition or enrichment courses. We will only conduct this programme beginning on every August month of the year. We have conducted this programme over the last 4 years and the take-up rate is very high.

P4 Streaming Preparation Course

Primary 4 students have less than a full academic year to prepare themsevles for the Streaming Examination.

This programme is designed for them at an accelerated pace revising their English/Mathematics syllabus topically from the very basics building up to their level of the streaming examination. It has been conducted over the last 2 years and has proven to be invaluable to the Primary 4 students and has a high take-up rate.

This course will give Primary 4 students the secrets of answering questions concisely, preventing them from straying from the point of answer. With only one module, it has a total of 5 lessons per subject, each lesson with a duration of 2 hours. It will only be conducted during the June School Holidays.

P6 PSLE Preparation Course

All Primary 6 students have only 8 months to prepare themselves for the PSLE Examination. Preliminary Examination will commence in the month of September, followed closely by the actual PSLE Examination in the month of October.

This programme provides a last minute push to asisst the students to revise their English/Mathematics syllabus at an accelerated pace. Recent past year PSLE questions will be carefully reproduced so as to familiarise the students with the more popular examination quesyions. It has been conducted over the last 2 years and has proven to be invaluable to the Primary 6 students and has a high take-up rate.
